Welcome to see my first Fresh 48 (telling the story of baby’s first 48 hrs of life) Photography Session that I’ve done in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
I’ve been working with Caccimelio family since their almost 3 year old Avery was a newborn. I took her newborn photos in her parent’s nicely decorated, pretty house. But soon after Lisa contacted me for their baby #2’s newborn session, they decided to built a house and in-home newborn session was not an option this time. We either had to wait, or try a new thing:)
I turned back to RiversideMethodist Hospital on Jan. 11th, on my birthday, only 2 months after I delivered our sweet girl. With a toddler, and a newborn you never know how a photography session would go, but I CAN NOT imagine a better one! Avery was cute as ever, Will was the sweetest little thing… it made my heart so full to see this family grow happily and my first Fresh 48 session went just perfect!
So now, when I get an inquiry about a lifestyle newborn session, I also throw Fresh 48 idea out. When you think about it: you are been taken care of by many nurses, you don’t need to tidy around… And capturing the 1st 48 hrs of a baby where she was born is very special. I had both, Fresh 48 and in-home newborn photos with our 2nd baby ( cause we had NONE with my first,photog-mom fail!), and I am so glad I did; i love them both equally!
