I’ve been shooting a lot of in home lifestyle newborn photography sessions lately and I just wanted to give you a glimpse of my work. I have a few more to blog, but let’s start with these:)
First of all, I absolutely LOVE shooting in home sessions. I love how relaxed people feel in their own place and these in home photo sessions always turn out so sweet. Add a newborn to this combination…. yummy! 🙂
Don’t get me wrong, I did many different style newborn sessions, including Fresh 48 Photo Session and Studio Style Newborn Sessions. In Fresh 48 session, I loved how raw everything was…and how new! Fresh 48 sessions also give parents the opportunity of having lifestyle photos without the hassle of tidying the house:) I only did one so far (can be seen HERE) but definitely looking forward to doing more. And I love the simplicity of newborn sessions in a studio, (you can see a few HERE and HERE) and will keep offering them cause but lifestyle sessions has a special place in my heart because they are about the connection…Capturing special moments with each family member and the baby, even the pets!, showing the connection in-between! And there is still time for photos of the baby alone; swaddled, undressed or in a special outfit, without props (mostly) and posed naturally.

W FAMILY’S IN HOME LIFESTYLE NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION WITH THEIR TODDLER
The W Family! Danielle found me online but after a few Social Media sneak peaks, turns out, we have mutual friends who agree with me that she is the cutest… including her family! I will confess: When I drive to a newborn session with a toddler, I do get nervous. Toddlers and newborns, both are very unpredictable. But besides being nervous, I also get so excited to see these sweetest tiny humans together:) Being calm, playing and just giving attention to everyone’s needs usually makes the trick and I leave the session with a big smile on my face:) This session was no exception. This sweet family invited me to their home in Westerville and we had a great time working together. I do believe I made new friends and hope that I can see these girls growing up together <3
DENNY&LAURA’S IN HOME LIFESTYLE NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION
After shooting their maternity photos (which I still need to blog:), I was so excited to see these new parents and meet with their baby girl! When I arrived, they said that the baby may be a little colicky, but boy, were they wrong. She slept the entire session without a peep. I also had my 1st kitty client, and loved the simplicity of their house. Versus a session with a toddler, this session was calm, quiet but still heart melting <3 These two are going to be great parents and I do hope to keep capturing memories for them all:)
